Installing Photoshop Brushes

If you've downloaded some Photoshop brushes and aren't sure how to install them, you can follow these simple instructions.

*May not work with versions earlier than Photoshop CS

1. Unzip the file if needed.

2. Copy or move the .ABR file you downloaded into the following folder:

PC Users: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS3\Presets

Mac OSX Users: /Users/{username}/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS3/Presets/Brushes

3. Open Photoshop

4. Click on Edit>Preset Manager

5. Click on the "Load" button

6. Select your brush and click OK.

That's it. You're ready to use your new Photoshop Brushes!

Photoshop Tutorial: Iceynix Wallpaper

In this tutorial I’m going to show you how I created this liquid abstract style wallpaper.

Approx. time to complete: 10-20 mins
A lot of the steps I use are very general as that is how abstract art is often made. Feel free to tweak any of the steps to your own personal taste. The idea is just to show you how the effect is done. It should be a fairly quick tutorial requiring maybe 10-20 minutes time.
Note that I will use some shortcut keys as you will need to learn these anyway if you want to become proficient at Photoshop. There are, however, several ways to do many of the steps.

Hello to anyone reading this. This blog will be a collection of Photoshop tutorials (and maybe some others), brushes, and anything else I think should be shared with people. I can't say that there will be anything super special about it as I will just be determining which tuts and resources are worth sharing. I will be writing my own tutorials as well as linking to others.

So check back as I start to build this collection!
